Book Review-

Some things in this world are so simple, beautiful, and reliable that they fill you with joy just thinking about them. The daily cycle of the sun's rise and fall, the orderly cosmos, and Animals are just a few of the many things to admire about this world. Human beings, on the other hand, aren't always perfect and consistent. People are often so disorganized, self-centred, myopic, and unsympathetic that you can only stare at them, your jaw hanging open in disbelief.

Animals, right in contrast to it, are such a selfless and grateful species. They give love without any conditions or seeking any benefits. I recently came across an amazing short storybook by Michelle Crichton that shares how having a pet can make you a better human!

‘The Adventures of Vylette Bunny and Michie- Love at First bite’ is a beautiful account of a girl and her furry friend. Michie is a 12-year shy and loving girl who wants to have a pet friend. She meets Vylette at a pet shop. She was a beautiful grey-coloured bunny with a sheer hint of pink and purple in her furs making it an unusual yet amusing pet to have. Michie and Vylette took no time to become friends, bunny got along with her family and loved everyone around. However, soon Michie realized it’s not easy to have a bunny pet. Vylette became uncontrollable as she started chewing cables, clothes, and valuables when no one was around. Eventually, Michie decided to give her up. But the love of her pet couldn’t let her do that and she thought it was not always this difficult with Vylette. She understood the feelings of her dumb little friend and decided to help her adapt to her space.

This is a cute little story that tells until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened. A beautiful book to teach children the importance of loving animals. Highly recommended for my little learners.
